Girls in 3rd-6th grade are invited to learn the fun sport of volleyball. The fundamentals of hitting, setting, spiking will be taught. In 5th and 6th grade things start getting a little more competitive and girls can chose to attend Saturday tournaments at nearby schools. Tournament schedule will be given out the first week of practice.

Learn & enjoy the true lifelong sport of bowling! This year will be divided into 2 sessions. Session 1 will run from September-December. Session 2 will run from January-March/April. If there is a no school day, there will be no bowling. Participants can register for 1 or both sessions. Registration fee includes membership into the USBC, a t-shirt, snack, drink and bowling for 11 sessions (10 weeks of learning bowling skills, and week 11 is a fun week). There will be a discount on Session 2 for those who participate in Session 1. Rippleside students will be bussed to Aitkin Lanes. Parents will need to pick children up by 4:45pm.Session 1- $160Session 2- $120 (if participated in session 1) otherwise $160

Swimming Lessons with 3 Levels: Preschool- this class is for swimmers who are uncomfortable to enter the water on their own and are not yet moving through the water independently. Swimmers will learn to be comfortable in the water with instructor, blow bubbles in the water, begin to front/back kick using a kickboard, learn to float with support of instructor, supported underwater object retrieval (near water surface) supported alternating actions on front/back and jump in assisted from a sitting position.Level 1- For the beginner who is comfortable in the water (able to put their face in the water without assistance). Swimmers learn basics of swimming: bobbing, going under water, supported front and back floating, supported rolling over from front to back, and back to front, supported gliding, supported flutter kick, supported front crawl arms, supported underwater object retrieval and supported jumping in. Level 2 - Swimmers should already be able to float on front and back and put their head under water. Swimmers will work on: independent front and back floating, independent rolling over from front to back and back to front, independent front and back glides, front crawl arms and kicks, back crawl arms and kicks, retrieving underwater objects, and jumping into water over their head.
